My institution is not a scam- Dr Kwame Fordjour reacts to his “fake UN Awards”

Dr Kwame Owusu Fordjour, organiser of the “Global Excellence Awards” has in an interview this morning with Joy FM stated that the award ceremony he held is not a scam.

“I am surprised because this is an open thing that we just held. If anybody has a problem with me or our institution, they should have contacted us for clarification…I have always been an advocate for development, excellence, and in honoring others and attaching ourselves to global icons and leadership we bring them out…” he explained in the interview.

Dr Kwame Fordjour had social media in a frenzy all through the weekend when news broke out that his “Global Excellence Awards,” purported to be under the auspices of the United Nations in collaboration with the Kofi Annan Foundation was fake.The ward ceremony, which was held on August 28, in Accra at the Alisa Hotel, saw several prominent faces in various sectors, including Sarkodie, D-Black, Nathaniel Attoh, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Natalie Fort amongst others, awarded for their contribution to development.
