Dumelo’s wife sings his praise after he lost out on the Ayawaso seat
Wife of actor and Politician John Dumelo, Gifty Mawunya Nkornu has for the first time, posted on her Instagram since her husband lost out on the Ayawaso West Wougon seat at the just ended 2020 Presidential race.
In a long post on Instagram this morning, Miss Gee as she is affectionately called congratulated her husband on what she calls a “spectacular performance.”
She also asked her husband to dust off the defeat because he was born king and a leader.
“Praise the Lord!!! In all things Lord ,me and my household will forever worship the Lord. Babe @johndumelo1 congratulations on such a spectacular performance and making history in Ayawaso west . For a first time contender in an NPP stronghold and closing the gap by such a margin, woooow !!!!you have really raised the status quo and you know what, you deserve a standing ovation👏🏼👏🏼. So babe dust it off and move with your head so high like a king and a leader that Uve been ordained to be. You are an inspiration to many and your hardwork and determination is apparent to all. You are a winner and will always be 👏🏼👏🏼💪🏾,” she captioned a photo of the both of them on Instagram.
John Dumelo contested the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency parliamentary seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) against the incumbent Member of Parliament, Mrs Lydia Seyram Alhassan.
Mrs Lydia Seyram Alhassan has however, retained her seat after polling 39,851 out of 77,604 total votes while John Dumelo of the NDC polled 37,778.
He has since appealed to the EC for a recount.
