Nana Akufo-Addo calls for Callum to switch nationality, and play for the Black Stars

His Excellency, Nana Akufo-Addo has called on the Minster of Youth and Sports to explore the possibility of Chelsea player, Callum Hudson-Odoi playing for the Ghanaian nationality team.

Since his recent visit to Ghana, the English footballer has sparked conversations about a possible switch of nationality from England to Ghana.

During a courtesy call on the President on Monday, June 7th, 2021, His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo shared on his Facebook page that he has asked the Minister of Youth and sports to explore the possibility.

“On Monday, 7th June 2021, Ghanaian-born Chelsea footballer, Callum Hudson-Odoi, paid a courtesy call on me at Jubilee House, the seat of our nation’s presidency. Amongst others, I urged the Minister for Youth and Sports to explore the possibility of having Callum switch nationality, and play for the Black Stars,” the President shared on his Facebook page.
