becca samad davisSinger, Becca won the topmost award at the 2011 Vodafone 4syte Music Video Awards Saturday night at the Accra International Conference Centre, when her video for ‘African Woman’ won the Best Video gong.  She also bagged the nod for Best Female Video for ‘Push’.

Other multiple winners on the night were Sarkodie who won Best Hiphop Video and Best Editing for ‘Lay Away’, aside sharing the Best Collaboration award with R2bees and Nana Boroo for the song ‘Ajiiee’; and newcomer Bra Kevin who won Best Discovery and Best Directed Video for ‘ 3 Headed Beast’.

 

The ceremony saw awards being presented to various musicians and technician in some award categories. The legendary film maker, Ernest Addoquaye received the Living Legend Award while Ivan Quarsigah special Achievement Awards.

 

This year’s awards saw a marathon of perfoemances from the likes of Richie, Eazzy, Kwaw Kese, Buk Bak, Stay J and Eduwoji, Sarkodie, R2Bees, VIP, 4×4, Zigi, Bra Kevin Beats, FOI and Trigmatic.  The ceremony was hosted by Lazzy of VIP and TV host, Crystal Jeanne
