Ghanaian rapper, Yaw Tog has broken his silence following his interview with MzGee on TV3 that landed him on Twitter Trends.

In a recent interview with MzGee on TV3, Yaw Tog stated his collaboration with Stormzy on his “Sore” remix did magic to both their names and brands.

Yaw Tog was responding to a question by MzGee as to whether he thinks Stormzy made him more popular or the other way round.

According to MzGee, there is a perception in Ghana that Stormzy made Yaw Tog more popular after the feature.

Responding to the claims, Yaw Tog stated;

“He made me more poplar in this market but I made him popular here too because people did not know Stormzy in Ghana too. So we both did made magic to ourselves and our brands.”

Yaw Tog’s statements has generated a lot of mixed reactions on social media. While some agree with him, other’s feel he’s overreaching.

The young rapper has since responded to the critics saying;

“It’s quite unfortunate a very harmless comment I made during a recent interview has been misconstrued by a few for whatever reason but regardless, we move. It’s Big Mike on the Remix. “
