Nana Addo to give Olympic medalist, Samuel Takyi a car and a $10,000 cash reward

On Friday, 20th August 2021, Ghana’s contingent at the just ended Tokyo Olympic Games paid a courtesy call on the president at Jubilee House, the seat of the nation’s presidency.

President Nana Akuffo Addo  congratulated them on their performance, and announced that each member of the team will receive a reward of five thousand dollars ($5,000), of which three thousand dollars ($3,000) will be given to the athlete, and two thousand dollars ($2,000) used as an investment in the athlete.

The medallist, Samuel Takyi, will receive a car, ten thousand dollars ($10,000), and an additional twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) put in a career development fund for him, for the next Olympic games and future tournaments.
