Over the weekend, popular musician Fameye was enstooled “Wasa Nyankonton” (Wassa Rainbow)  in the Wassa community.

His enstoolement came before his ground-breaking Family Live concert in Bogoso on Saturday, October 30, 2021.

The Chief of the area, Nana Sempre II, in a video, explained that Fameye’s enstoolement was to recognise his efforts at elevating the towns of Bogoso and Wasa.

“…because Fameye has raised the name of Wasaman and that of Bogoso, the name I, the Chief of Bogoso, want to give Fameye today among all the musicians in Ghana is ‘Wasa Nyankonton,” Nana Sempre said as he gave Fameye the title.

The “Praise” singer, elated by the honour, poured libations after and thanked the Chiefs.

“I will like to thank the chief and elders for this title and honor given me. I thank him so much and everyone present. What I have to say is that, I won’t let this title down, I’ll do whatever I can to continue uplifting the name and the youth of Wasaman,” Fameye said in his speech.
