tagoesistersThis year marks 30 years of spectacular song ministrations for prolific Ghanaian gospel music group, Tagoe Sisters. The duo of twin sisters, Lydia Dedei Tagoe and Elizabeth Korkoi Tagoe, commenced their 30th anniversary celebrations with a gig at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra on Easter Sunday.

With support from Joe Mettler (Soul Winners), Rev Yawson and a host of other gospel singers, the Tagoe Sisters did not only thrill their numerous fans that gathered at the GoldenTulip poolside, but also sang to the glorification of their Lord Jesus Christ, whose resurrection from death was also celebrated on the day. The group announced that there would be several activities throughout the year to mark their 30 years in the music business including: a dance dinner, nationwide music tours and a concert.

Other activities at the Golden Tulip Hotel during the Easter season included a family day of food, fun and games for the kids. The children had fun with activities such as dancing, lime and spoon race, bouncy castle, sack race etc. There were also plenty of local dishes and snacks on display for the delight of the children.  And as usual, there was the usual scrumptious entrée of palatable cuisine and drinks at the hotel throughout the festive season.

The Easter festivities ended with a mini Tennis Tournament for doubles at the-state-of-the- art tennis court of the Golden Tulip Hotel. The keenly contested tourney saw the team of Nii Lante Mills and Frank Koduah beating the competition to win the first prize. They won a night’s stay at the hotel for two. The team of Simon Odamtten and John Doe placed second and won dinner for two. The tournament was supported by First Choice Hair and Beauty, and Fast Forward Logistics.
