The 3rdedition of the biggest Jollof Festival is scheduled to take place at the Memory Lane Art Park on 31stAugust 2019. The event, which is Africa’s Biggest Jollof event, will have an array of authentic Jollof Vendors, grills, local drinks and accompanied by great music and relaxing games. With over 2000 festival attendees last year, this year’s event promises to be bigger and more exciting.
The Jollof Festival 2019 is aimed at promoting the Ghanaian delicacy’s authenticity and highlights the role food plays in the Ghanaian Culture by bringing together, food lovers to enjoy, network and share the authenticity of the meal.
Themed “Jollof, Africa’s Pride’ the festival will highlight the journey of the cuisine to its current celebratory status.
A major highlight of the festival is the crowning of the Jollof King or Queen – a title reserved for the individual with the best tasting Jollof at the event’s Jollof cooking competition. The competition allows home cooks to showcase their cooking skills with their very own secret recipes.
The winner of the Jollof cooking competition, will win products from our prestigious sponsors, Maggi, Tasty Tom Tomatoes Paste, Royal Feast Rice and First National Bank.
Toakradi’s favourite the Evergreen band will thrill festival goers to hours of live music with support from popular masquerade dancers, Supreme Masquerade and a full-on Jam session with Eff the Dj, DJ K3v in the evening. Additional attractions will include, face painting and cotton candy for the kids, foosball tables for adults.
Our annual charity outreach donation will be at the Future First Nursery and Primary at Agbobloshie with Jollof treats on 22ndAugust which is World Jollof Day.
