54 Kingdoms LLC, in partnership with Addicted To African and Caribbean Magazine (ATAC Mag), is proud to announce the official launch of ‘Built for Haiti’, a non-profit campaign established to help our neighboring brothers and sisters in Haiti in rebuilding their country and communities.

The campaign aims to raise $100,000 for on-going Haitian relief projects that will benefit the victims of the January 2010 earthquake, in an effort to help them get back on their feet. All proceeds will go directly to the Edeyo Foundation (http://www.edeyo.org), a New York-based non-profit organization devoted to the young children of the Bel-Air, Port Au Prince area of Haiti.

The effects of the earthquake earlier this year completely destroyed the school building, leaving the children to learn their subjects in tents for the remainder of the school year. Edeyo is currently looking to purchase the land and rebuild the school from ground level. Future plans for École du Bel-Air are to expand its student body, as well as install a school cafeteria, computer room and auditorium.

‘Built for Haiti’ believes that it is one thing to support the relief efforts for Haiti, but it is an even greater accomplishment to recognize and acknowledge those who show such support. With a minimum donation of $10, everyone could help the campaign. Donors can have either their profile image or corporate logo or organization, included in a special section of the ‘Built for Haiti’ website called the ‘Wall of Donors’. For more information or to make a donation, please visit us at http://www.builtforhaiti.com or contact us at: contact@atacmag.com or contact@54kingdoms.com.

Built for Haiti would be launched on July 12, which is the kick off for Africa Fashion Week New York, where 54 Kingdoms will launch its Genesis Collection. July 11 also marks the first year anniversary of Addicted To Africa and Caribbean Magazine (www.atacmag.com). Both companies are ran by young and enterprising US-based Ghanaians including Kwaku Awuah President, 54 Kingdoms LLC and Nana Poku CEO & Founder, 54 Kingdoms, LLC,  and Justmark Anim, CEO, ATAC Magazine.
