Such a lucrative industry attracts investors, and celebrities aren’t left behind. The diverse market allows business people to experiment with various products, including selling and growing cookies seeds.

So, which celebrities have their own cannabis brands?

Famous People in the Marijuana Market

Wondering who owns various celebrity weed brands in the industry? You may have heard of some already, but others may surprise you. Check out our list below.

  • Snoop Dogg

You can’t talk about famous entrepreneurs in the weed business without mentioning the name of this award-winning rapper.

Snoop Dogg is as well-known for being an open smoker as he is for his music. When different states started legalizing recreational marijuana, he decided to take his love for the plant to another level.

The artist began Leafs by Snoop, a cannabis company specializing in concentrates, flowers, and various edibles. The launch of the product line was in Colorado in 2015. Today, you can find them in multiple dispensaries across Canada and the U.S.

You may like his Cali native brand cookies named Doggy Bag. They’re fruity and ideal for beginners and experienced users alike.

  • Willie Nelson

The music legend, writer, and activist, is one of the most renowned cannabis celebrities. He attributes his company’s success to the fact that he occupies a unique position.

Besides being the founder, Willie Nelson is also the chief tester. He tries the cannabis products before releasing them to the market, ensuring the customers get nothing but the best.

His company, Willie’s Reserve, has been operational in Washington since 2015.

It uses cannabis plants from independent U.S.-based farmers to make products, including vape cartridges and edibles.

  • Berner

The artist owns one of the most famous weed brands in the U.S. He’s more popular for his cannabis products and strains than his music.

If you’re looking for the best online seed bank, Berner’s brands of dispensaries has your back. Cookies and Lemonnade dispensaries are available across the country.

Berner’s objective is to make top-grade marijuana available everywhere for consumers to enjoy freely. His companies have become some of America’s most well-respected and high-earning cannabis brands.

  • Wiz Khalifa

The musician smokes a type of weed specifically bred for him known as Khalifa Kush. It comes from an unknown OG strain tailored to his taste and preferences. At first, he kept the product in his private stash but later decided to share it with the rest of the world.

Khalifa Kush debuted in 2016 and has grown into a reputable weed brand offering edibles, flowers, and pre-rolls.

  • Martha Stewart

If you’re looking for high-quality celebrity CBD brands, Martha Stewart’s got you covered.

She offers a line of wellness products developed by Canopy Growth, a leading marijuana company. It sells soft gels, oil, gummies, and CBD for pets. Martha launched the products in September 2020, and they come from 100% natural cannabis.

According to Stewart, her supplements are more about wellness than making money. She wants more people to experience the positive effects of hemp and CBD like she has. Her products help enhance health, especially in dealing with daily life stresses.

Just like Jay Z did with Caliva, in May 2021, Martha was invited to join Canopy Growth as its new official strategic advisor. This venture furthers what appears to be a very successful partnership.

  • Seth Rogen

Another celebrity in the weed industry is the famous comedian, director, and actor Seth Rogen.

Besides featuring cannabis in his films, Seth has also been an outspoken weed smoker for a long time. He launched his company, Houseplant, out of his expertise and love for the plant. His brand collaborates with Canopy Growth in its operations.

Apart from selling weed products, Seth Rogen and his business partner Evan Goldberg use Houseplant to share their knowledge with the world. They have a mission to be the most thoughtful cannabis brand globally.

If you want to learn more about cannabis, you can find informative videos on Houseplants website.

  • Mike Tyson

The boxer struggled with substance abuse for a long time but only opened up about it recently.

He claims that the CBD in weed was instrumental in dealing with his addictions. This discovery led him to start Tyson Ranch, a company that sells cannabis products. The packaging also informs users about the plant’s benefits.

Tyson Ranch deals with top-notch marijuana by ensuring it licenses experienced growers and breeders.

Celebrity Cannabis Brands

Since the weed industry is profitable, it’s not a wonder to see famous people try it out. Many expect it to grow further with the continued legalization of the plant for medical and recreational use.

Celebrities with cannabis companies have a passion for it and wish to get quality products to users. Most of them, like Mike Tyson and Snoop Dogg, use it and are happy with its benefits in their lives.

Why not check out one of these brands and find out what they offer?

Lifebuoy GHD CEO Globle KV002

Unilever’s Lifebuoy, the world’s number one hygiene soap brand, has launched a creative competition that will see two (2) Chief Education Officers aged between 6-12years appointed to raise awareness on the importance of handwashing among school children.

Leveraging the power of peer-to-peer learning, the ‘CEOs’ will be selected from public and private schools in Ghana to help create impact by teaching other children about handwashing and personal hygiene in a series of fun and exciting activities.

The campaign dubbed ‘Lifebuoy H for handwashing CEOs’ is part of Lifebuoy’s activities to mark Global Handwashing Day which occurs every year on the 15th of October.

Global handwashing day is an international handwashing campaign dedicated to motivating and mobilizing people worldwide to improve their handwashing habits as a strategy for disease prevention.

In 2020, Lifebuoy launched the H for Handwashing campaign to transform the letter H into a symbol for handwashing and to integrate hygiene awareness into the school curriculum. In 2021, Lifebuoy launched its first ever children’s book- an “H for Handwashing” alphabet book – in which children can explore the Alphabet with Azzy the horse. The book is intended to support school curricula all over the world, whenever and wherever children are taught the ABCs.

This year, Lifebuoy is going a step further by passing on the baton to the next generation who will teach their peers about handwashing, as studies have shown that children are more likely to change their behaviour when influenced by their peers.

Lifebuoy is encouraging Children from public and private schools in Ghana between the ages of 6-12years to take up this unique and exciting challenge.

Parents, Guardians and Teachers are also urged to encourage their children and pupils to participate in the competition by following these guidelines:

  • Share a 30- 45 seconds video of your child reciting their campaign manifesto by explaining what hygiene means to them and how they will promote better hygiene in their schools.
  • All entries must include the #GHD2022 #LifebuoyCEOgh #LifebuoyGHD22 #HforHandwashing hashtag and be submitted on Facebook and Instagram only via the brand’s pages @LifebuoyGhana.
  • Entries are open until the 10th of October, 2022.

The two selected CEOs will get the chance to become part of Lifebuoy’s award-winning ‘H for Handwashing’ movement and receive a certificate from the Unilever Ghana Leadership Team for their participation and commitment to the cause.  As part of celebrations to mark Global Handwashing Day, they will also visit the Unilever headquarters and factories to teach employees the importance of handwashing

The ‘CEOs’ will commit a minimum of ten hours a year to help spread the message of handwashing with soap to other children, at home and in schools. To enable them perform their roles, they will be trained in the use of Lifebuoy’s decade-old and well-proven  behaviour change material which will equip them to take the message forward.
