Note-2I have been getting a lot of calls from readers about how to get an Infinix Note 2 in Ghana, and from speaking to people I believe it could be sold out in Ghana. Well, it is not surprising why – apart from the very affordable price, it packs in great functionalities as well.

For an affordable smartphone range, my two biggest highlights of the Infinix Note 2 is the camera and the battery life. The two cameras on the Infinix Note 2 perform a little bit above my expectation because firstly it is a budget device and secondly it is a note.  On paper it is 13-megapixels camera but although it doesn’t give me that quality of a true 13-MP camera, the quality is reasonable and well filtered to make photos  look smoother than average. The videos are equally good, and most of my workout videos for instagram came out well. Nothing out of this world and nothing mediocre either. You get what you paid for.

Battery life is excellent and in this era of ‘improved dumsor’ , the Infinix Note 2 comes in very handy, with its fast charger. You  probably won’t get the kind of battery life you’ll get on the Infinix Note 2 anywhere else amongst devices in its price range. I was able to squeeze up to 8 hours of screen on time from the Infinix Note 2’s 4,040 mAh  battery unit regularly. 2-day battery life is assured. In fact, if you’re not the kind to always be looking up something online using 3G data or playing games, you can as well go for 3 days on a single charge. You can also turn on Ultra Power saving for some extra lifeline. For instance, you can still get 3 hours talk time if you turn on Ultra Power when the Infinix Note 2’s battery is at 10%.

When charging up the device, your time won’t be wasted either and you can gain optimum power within a short time. Provided you use the charging adaptor that you’ll get in the box and its accompanying cable, the device is fully charged from 0% in just one and a half hours.

Note 2 is a 1.5GB RAM device but invariably a user is left with about 500MB of RAM since the system and UI takes up the other half. The UI which is called XUI is optimized and backed by Android lollipop OS to increase performance, so you may not want to worry about the RAM size but you still experience some lag during use.

The Infinix Note 2 is made of plastic all round with a 6 inch display, thus the name Big 6. Navigation keys are on-screen, power button and volume button are on the right side with headphone jack and charging/USB port at the top and bottom respectively. It comes with 16 GB onboard storage, and you can expand that if you have a microSD card.

So thats my quick look at the Infinix Note 2, a really cool budget smartphone to have in 2016!!!
