A summer vacay with the stars in South Africa! #MySAExperience
I recently joined influencers from Ghana and Nigeria for a chance to enjoy the amazing scenery, culture, adventures and thrills of the rainbow nation this Summer season in the Western Cape , Eastern Cape, and Kwazulu-Natal province of South Africa. Although it is winter in South Africa at the moment, nothing could hold us back from the memorable fun-packed trip, from the Power Boat rides on the Knysna Lagoon to the Safari ride in the Botlierskop Game Reserve!
Sensational South African media personality Bonang Mathebain collaboration with South Africa Tourism to host guests from Nigeria and Ghana on this fun-filled, eight-day summer experience. The guests also included Nigerian Radio Presenter and Media starlet Toke Makinwa, renowned fashion designer Mai Atafo, celebrity photographer Kelechi Amadi-Obi, Sister Deborah, Chidera Mouka, Kola Oshalusi, Folu Storms and the MTV Base crew.
We arrived at Goerge Airport located in George, Western Cape South Africa after a 6 Hour flight from Nigeria and Ghana where we were transferred to The Manor House boutique hotel, known as the crown of the Fancourt estate.
As a National Monument, The Manor House presents a meticulous remodeling of its historical counterpart, the Blanco House, while encompassing the distinctive air of a world-class, 21st century destination.
We kicked off our summer holiday on day 2 with a powerboat cruise through the Knysna Lagoon enjoying wine and oysters on a relaxing boat cruise and taking in the magnificence of Knysna as the sun starts to set over the lagoon.
The next stop was the idyllic St. Francis Bay – touted as South Africa’s ‘Little Venice’which is just 90 kilometres away from Port Elizabeth, and 1 hour 15 Mins from Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve, where experienced the adrenaline pumping adventures Quad Biking and Bungee Jumping off the cliff, before heading off to Durban.
On arriving Durban the largest city in the Kwazulu-Natal Province, Bonang Matheba hosted us at the famous shipwrecked Cargo Holds Restaurant to a gourmet lunch experience.
On the Saturday, we attended Durban July, known as South Africa most prestigious horse race held at the Greyville Racecourse, with fashion, music, and horses as the main event for the full day!
On the Sunday, we went for a boat cruise at Wlson’s Wharf before heading for some braaii at Max’s Lifestyle.
