The hot Ghanaian model and singer, Abena Akuaba, seen sitting by Kodak Black in the ‘Fly’ music video by top American singer Bruno Mars which has amassed 191,837,922 views on Youtube, has told Merqury Quaye exclusively in an interview on Hitz 103.9fm that working on set with Bruno Mars, Kodak Black and Gucci Mane has given her a lot of insight into production and general entertainment business which she is willing to share to help enhance the Ghanaian music industry.

“I am planning to create platforms in partnership with cooperate bodies to help musicians and other stakeholders in Ghana to maximize production for the precipitation of socio-economic development of Ghana through entertainment because there is so much we can do”, she explained.

According to the X Factor finalist, in terms of commerce, the media and entertainment industry contributes significantly to the U.S. economy. The film and television industry alone contribute more than $41 billion each year to the economy and provide nearly 2 million people with employment and Abena affirms that though Ghana is a relatively smaller country, the prospects are high.

Currently in Ghana to bring a refreshing vibe to the music scene through her current release, ‘Hit and Run’, the international model, actress and singer Abena Akuaba, known for winning miss universe Ghana in 2014 and for bringing an international crown home for the first time in Ghana’s history, says her new song, No Hit and Run, produced by Mede Kuku hit maker, Danny Beatz is to send out a message to men that “the games must stop!”, she exclaimed. “When you scan Facebook and read a lot of articles on the internet today, the relationship status’ of a huge number of women is ‘single’. A lot of these women are ready to settle down but because men just want to hit and run, it scares us and prevents us from trusting and opening our hearts. Some guys can promise you heaven and earth but once they get into your panties, forget it”, she added.
