The Acity Radio Fireside Conversation is an inter-university dialogue forum where national and international topics are discussed. The platform allows young people and students to engage in practical debates about critical issues and provide constructive proposals for preventing or resolving problems on a national or continental scale.

For its maiden edition, students and student representatives from the Ghana Institute of Journalism, Central University and Academy City University College took part in a discussion and raised points about the impact terrorism has on students and a country as a whole. In their ideas for preventing terrorism, they called for their fellow students to be on the alert and “see something, say something”.

The student reps raised concerns about terrorist groups scouting for young members through social media and advised their colleagues to use social media carefully to avoid being targeted.
