Ghana’s acting prodigy has featured In Hollywood’s seasonal movie, Snowfall

Ghanaian young movie sensation, Abraham Mcpratt Dadzie has featured in popular American Crime Drama series ‘Snowfall’ filmed in Ghana. Abraham was one of the few Ghanaians who were selected after a rigorous auditioning process in Accra.

Abraham who started his journey 7years ago as a Stage actor was cast in Season 6, Episode 3 of the series, Snowfall. The episode highlighted some Ghanaian traditional culture and recreated the disheartening story of slave trade which started in Ghana about 400years ago.

Speaking to the press, Abraham Mcpratt Dadzie intimated that, a Hollywood feature was a childhood dream that has been realized in the early stage of his career. He said he learnt a lot from the production processes of the movie and he’s ready to share with his colleagues as well as Ghanaian producers.

“It still feels surreal for me as a young actor. This is the dream for almost every African Thespian. Starring in a Hollywood movie was a childhood dream and I’m grateful to God for the opportunity.
“ I learnt a lot on the set, from the Hollywood stars as well as the production crew. This is the inception of my career as a screen actor and I believe the experience will make my journey a bit easier. I’m available to share everything with my Ghanaian brothers. I’m just getting started”. Abraham said.

Abraham Mcpratt Dadzie played the role of Dodzi, a close friend of Leon Simmons and Wanda Bell.

Snowfall” is an American crime drama television series created by John Singleton, Eric Amadio, and Dave Andron. The series is set in Los Angeles in the early 1980s and follows the story of Franklin Saint, a young street entrepreneur, as he navigates the rise of the crack cocaine epidemic and its impact on his community.

The series premiered on FX on July 5, 2017, and has since aired six seasons with over 50 episodes. The show has been praised for its engaging storytelling, strong performances, and accurate depiction of the era and social issues. It stars Damson Idris, Carter Hudson, Emily Rios, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Michael Hyatt, Amin Joseph, and Isaiah John, among others.
