Actors campaigning against John Dumelo are ‘daft’ – Bridget Otoo

Media personality and television presenter, Bridget Otoo, has said in a tweet that it is a ‘daft move’ for John Dumelo’s colleague actors to join in a campaign against him at the constituency he’s contesting.

According to Bridget, if she were an actress, she wouldn’t have campaigned in a constituency in favor of another over a colleague actor who is contesting that same constituency.

John Dumelo who is an actor, and aspiring NDC MP, is contesting the parliamentary seat at the Ayawaso West Wuogon in this year’s election, and it has surprised many to see his colleague actors campaign against him. Even though the colleague actors campaigning against him are known supporters of the opposition NPP where Dumelo does not belong.

“If I were an actor supporting NPP, maybe Ayawaso West Wuogon won’t be the place I would go and campaign. Such a daft move,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, the minister for foreign affairs, Shirley Ayorkor-Botchwey had said at an NPP rally at the constituency John Dumelo is contesting that parliament is a serious place, and not a place for actors, so the constituents shouldn’t make a mistake by voting the actor to parliament.

After that unfortunate statement by the minister, and people seeing actors campaign against Dumelo, Bridget made a comment and posed questions.

“Here is a funny idea! I want to understand what the actors campaigning against @johndumelo1 in Ayawaso west Wuogon, are telling voters. that if you vote John, he would behave like us? Terrible, unintelligent, comedic ? Own goal paaaaa,” Bridget tweeted.
