The Ghana Music Awards has been in the news for most of this month amidst rumours of bribery sparked by the spokesperson for the awards.  However some musicians have come out to say they believe in the credibility of the scheme. Afro pop/ R&B singer and Stars of the Future winner, Adina Thembi has stated that she has never doubted the credibility of the Vodafone Ghana music Awards despite controversies surrounding the event. Her comments comes at a time where the credibility of the Vodafone Ghana music Awards is been questioned by many following a statement made the Head of Communications  for  Charter House, George Quaye. George Quaye alleged that Gospel musicians are the ones who attempt to bribe the most. He said this on the pundits show which airs on GHONE TV. Regardless of this, Adina who is known for her hit single “Too Late” told the host of Radio Gij’s mid-morning coffee show, Uncle Dj Rob that She does not see the awards scheme as being bias. “I believe there is a whole diverse body and it’s not bias. I feel like it’s a lot of people coming together to make a decision” she said. Speaking on her upcoming projects, the 2008 winner of Stars of the Future said she’s working on a video for her single with Akwaboah and will soon release it. The singer also denied being in a relationship with Trigmatic saying that they were good friends. New car, new record deal! Zylofone Media signs Kumi Guitar Meanwhile singer, Petrah of Manner Records took to Twitter earlier today to throw some jabs at fellow artistes who backlash the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) scheme.

Petrah on her official handle (@petrah0) took a dig at them saying “When you work hard and follow procedure you get what you rightfully deserve. #VgmaHaters”
The singer recently released her brand new single with Arab Money Gang Business’s Medikal dubbed ‘Million’.
