Ghanaian songwriter and filmmaker Atsuson Jr has returned with a powerful new song, “Quiet Thunder”
The single is his first offering since directing photography on the Spotify Free Forever Campaign starring Chicago rapper Vic Mensa. Produced by Sadi Day Beats, it was released on
July 29. With his signature celestial vocals, Atsuson Jr details the beauty and struggle in a distance affair on heavy dance instrumental.
Accra native Atsuson Jr has always had a deep connection to soulful music and a gift for singing and storytelling.
Speaking on his new single, the multi-hyphenate artist said, “I feel the adventurer is always going to be away trying to bring something to his people. However, his perspective and that of
his loved ones would differ.”
Atsuson Jr. gave further insight into his self-written song, “I wrote this song to embody the emotions involved from both parties. I hope this song inspires people to love with enormous
patience and go after whatever they believe.
The 25-year-old singer has been off the music scene for a year traveling across Africa filming documentaries. Back in Ghana, Atsuson Jr. has been spending time in the studio and is
currently working on more music.
About Atsuson Jr.
Jeffrey “Atsuson Jr“ is a 25-year-old filmmaker and recording artist based in Accra, Ghana. As a child, he was encouraged to pursue his interests in soccer, creative writing, and music.
He joined the Victory Bible church choir, where he was the only male, and began writing songs at 12. Jeffrey started to explore rap music during his early days in high school. He started making cover songs and freestyle videos which helped him build a following and establish himself as an artist among his colleagues Atsuson Jr. is an alumnus of the National Film and Television Institute, where he studied as a film director and scriptwriter.
He has worked with different production houses, shooting music videos for local and international acts and having his short film screened at film festivals. Jeffrey went on to direct photography on documentaries like the Facebook Year of Return, Spotify This Is, and Spotify Free Forever.
Taking influence from the likes of Drake The Weeknd, Enya, Celine Dion, Aurora, Xxtentacion & Billie Eillish, Jeffrey makes sounds centered around feels, exploring R&B and Soul with dance and pop music.
Jeffrey’s music aims at connecting with people emotionally.

How Ghana Jesus and Salinko clashed on set of ‘Destiny Changer’ music video shoot

Selassie Selah, a Gospel musician, managed to bring Ghana Jesus and Salinko on set during the shooting of the music video for his single track , Destiny Changer.
In the video, Ghana Jesus was seen instructing Selassie Selah to go and spread the Gospel to Salinko and the people of Shuayemobo ( Ninive)
Ghana Jesus and Salinko did not meet in the music video and could this suggest that they are still beefing each other.
Could it also suggest that, both of them were not aware they were being featured in the music video?
Destiny changer is an evergreen live recording song which is making waves across the country. Some of the people featured in the music video have seen their Destiny’s changed by getting their dream jobs while others have traveled abroad.
Award winning instrumentalist played the various instruments.
Dan Grahl played the Base Guitar, Emmanuel Bludu played the drums whiles Dominic Quarchie played the lead Guitar. TheBoss PI played the keyboard and produced the song whiles the music video was directed by Tom, Majik studio and Selassie Selah.
