A lot is known about Ghana’s most loved comedic actor, Kofi Adu alias Agya Koo’s venture into music though majority of Ghanaians never get to see him perform as a singer. He recently wowed guests at the birthday reception for Xavier Hubert, General Manager for Golden Tulip Hotel, Kumasi , where the actor was inspired to perform after witnessing performances by the likes of Daasebre Gyamenah and Nana Yaa. International Ghanaian musician, Kwame Yeboah worked his magical fingers on the keyboard to the delight of guests. Jayso and Skillions Records protegee, Ediyoung also performed at the Drive Club (a nightclub inside the hotel) in a small afterparty for Xavier.
The star-studded event at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Kumasi also saw actors John Dumelo, Majid Michel, Rose Mensah (Kyeiwaa), Yvonne Nelson, Fred Nuamah, the Regional Director of Police and others in attendance. Xavier Hubert who recently moved to Kumasi from the Golden Tulip, Accra to take up the office of General Manager was excited by his first birthday celebration in the ‘Garden City’.

In his birthday speech, Xavier showed his love and appreciation for the city if Kumasi, highlighting the cultural, wealth and social diversity of the fast developing city. He promised that the Golden Tulip Hotel, Kumasi is dedicated to providing entertainment and leisure for the people in the city and visitors alike. He hinted that through partnership with other stakeholders, the hotel hopes to put some spotlight on Kumasi and give residents an exciting variety of entertainment and leisure options.
As part of Xavier’s goal for the hotel, Golden Tulip Hotel, Kumasi will host the 2012 Ghana Movie Awards nominations party in November and already plans are on the cards to host Kumasi’s first ever Bridal Fair in October.
