Ghanaian actress cum social media influencer, Rosemond Brown, popularly known as ‘Akuapem Poloo’ has taken to her Instagram page to express her joy as she begins fasting today, March 23, 2023.

According to the controversial actress who doubles as a model and an entrepreneur, she is so happy as this is the very first time, she is partaking in the annual fasting ritual of Muslims since she joined the religion eight months ago.

Poloo in her post, asked Allah to accept their fast and also bless Muslims with all the good things that come with the fast. She further urged her colleague Muslims all around to partake in the fast.

‘‘May Allah Accept our fasts in this beautiful Ramadan🤲 my first fasting since I became Muslim (7 months now) May we be blessed by his love and be guided by him in all that we do Ramadan Kareem to my Muslim brothers and sisters 🤲🤲🌙,’’she wrote.

Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is one of the most sacred times for Muslims. During this month, Muslims observe a strict daily fast from dawn until sunset. They are not allowed to eat or drink, not even water, during these daylight hours. Today, Muslims all around the world have commenced the fast and are expected to end on April 23.
