Ghanaian Highlife legend Amakye Dede has denied a recent publication that put him on the top of the list for highest grossing performers in the Ghanaian music industry. The evergreen performer wondered why there were speculations in the media about how much he charges per performance and who was fuelling the false information during a recent press conference in Accra to adore him as the celebrant for the 2012 Legends and Legacy Ball.
Amakye Dede, who was responding to questions from the media about how much he charges for a show, commented: “I don’t know where they got that story from. Do you know how much I pay the white man who plays violin for every show?”
