Apple Music Becomes Exclusive Music Partner For “Verzuz” Battle Series From Swizz Beatz And Timbaland

Apple Music is now the exclusive music partner for Verzuz, the break-the-internet livestream battle series presented by legendary beatmakers Swizz Beatz and Timbaland.
Born out of a desire for community during this era of distancing, these time-stopping events have become a celebration of the parallel artistry of hip-hop and R&B’s biggest songwriters, producers, and artists, pitting them against each other in good-natured face-offs that have made for some of the best entertainment in music since live concerts. Beginning today these battles will be simulcast live on Apple Music and Beats 1 for free at the same time as the Verzuz Instagram Live channel and will be available on-demand following the live streams.
Tune in to Apple Music on Thursday, July 23 at 02:00 CAT for a face-off between veteran MCs and cultural icons Snoop Dogg and DMX. Each has more hits than you can remember and now fans can re-familiarize themselves with these very distinct but enduring catalogs ahead of the event by way of the official Snoop Dogg and DMX Cheat Sheet playlist, as curated by Apple Music host Lowkey. Apple Music will also be working alongside Swizz Beatz and Timbaland to produce new episodes of Verzuz to continue giving fans a truly premium, high quality shared experience.
In case you missed it, Verzuz put together a special episode featuring Alicia Keys and John Legend to celebrate Juneteenth that was also streamed live on Apple Music and Beats 1 and now you can catch up on the epic dueling piano battle only on Apple Music.
