Pheelz Tells Apple Music About His ‘Pheelz Good’ EP

‘Pheelz Good’ is three different feelings. If you check the artwork that I designed for it, you can see three masks. The first mask is The Loverboy – that’s what I call him – that’s where you have the loverboy feelings, where you have songs like “Stand By You;” there’s a song called “Pheelz Like Summer” on the project as well, that’s for the loverboy.

There’s The Bad Guy mask as well, in the middle. That’s why you have songs like “Finesse” and “Ballin’.” There’s a song on the EP called “Pablo Escobar” as well. That’s for the Bad Guy era of the EP. Then there’s another guy called The Gbedu Guy, on the far right of the artwork. That’s where you have songs like “Electricity,” there’s a song on the EP called “Ewele,” and there’s a song called “Emi Laye Mi.” Those are like the gbedu jams, and that’s why there’s The Gbedu Guy with the gbedu mask. When you see there artwork, you understand the three different feelings on the EP.

Pheelz Tells Apple Music About Taking Centre Stage As An Artist

First off, it’s a lot more flying! A lot more traveling around. I mean it’s amazing man, I love it on this side of the playing field where I can fully create music just me – being the producer, and being the artist – be in the genre and just craft a sound that’s 100% authentically Pheelz. I love producing as well but now I have the freedom to really create what I want to create, and the art that I truly believe in.

Pheelz Tells Apple Music About His Album Plans

Ehiz: I’m guessing ‘Pheelz Good’ the EP, beginning of the year… so sometime this year or maybe next year we’ll have a full album, how about that?

Pheelz: I’m almost done with that one already! I’m ready.
I’m almost done with the project, I swear down man. I’ve got bare songs already.

Ehiz: Ok, so when will that come out? Do you think it is gonna come anytime soon?

Pheelz: Yeah I think before the end of the year. I think I’m gonna make that happen for sure.

Nii Steppa in “Party Time” mood on new single

Done over a hard-hitting in-house production, Nii Steppa’s menacing tone and lyrics echo takes on an all partying song by an enormous wave of ‘Party Time’. Stream or download ‘Party Time’ across all major digital platforms here: https://songwhip.com/niisteppa/party-time

The JN records artist has never been this articulate and imposing. He’s very confident in his approach on the 3-minute party song, showcasing a braggadocio that’s perfect in depicting.

As such, ‘Party Time’ is absolutely gripping, mostly thanks to the above but also how effortless the rapper is in turning this melancholy into a booming street sound. There’s simply some magic in how Steppa goes about the whole song, and we love it.

‘Party Time’ was produced and mixed & mastered by Gigzbeatz.

Israel Maweta breaks 7-years’ silence with new song “I No Go Blame You”

Israel Maweta breaks 7-years' silence with new song “I No Go Blame You”

Celebrated Ghanaian Musician/Producer, Israel Maweta touches on a very uncommon topic many fear to openly discuss. In recent times with many ladies going into liposuction and body shaming others for not having flat tummies, one can imagine how challenging and difficult it is with women, especially (nursing) mothers who have undergone varied body transformations due to child birth(s) or other health conditions.

Liposuction as many women would opt for it as a choice, on the other hand however, not many women even if capable and having the required finance or resources can go through it due to anxiety or fear. On this premise, Israel Maweta flips the script to rather appreciate women who have developed big protruding bellies and stretched marks as a result of creating family or health conditions. He drops a song around this topic to eulogize women especially mothers, wives and on the large, the feminine populace for that matter, hence the title “I No Go Blame You”.

“I No Go Blame You”, executively produced by Elorm Beenie was created, mixed and mastered by Accra-based Ghanaian Producer, CaskeysOnit.

The song is a groovy urbanized Afrobeats production with a touch of Amapiano and choral influence; a multiplicity of indigenous African ensembles that fits into every playlist with clean resonating lyrics. It’s a song that can play on both radio, television, online and outdoor events. A good song that fits weddings too.

He is a Veteran African Traditional Musician who straddles through varied African sounds spanning a career over 2 decades. He has explored different genres over the period from Afrobeats, Borborbor, Agbadza, Kinka, Gospel, Reggae, Appellations (Spoken Word), Zibo, Asafo Music, Zigi, just to name a few.

Israel holds a very enviable catalogue with his career which counts at least 20 Albums. As an Evangelist if The Gospel, he is more aligned with the Christian faith but steps beyond the religious boundaries to exploit his music talent across varied circles within the African Traditional Music he is also equally identified with.

His latest song “I No Go Blame You” is a comeback song after his almost 7-year hiatus with song releases: the song is a lead single to many other singles die for release from his stable this year 2023.

Vancouver Rapper BLAK ACE Releases New Single "Blak Majik"

Vancouver based rapper BLAK ACE has created a whirlwind of swagger and confidence in his new single “Blak Majik”. Written by himself BLAK ACE and the beat was produced alongside by DJ KEMO, the song was recorded at Vanguard Music Studios.

Most notably, the track features a fusion of jazzy horns and a steady hip-hop backbeat that compliments BLAK ACE’s resolute rap delivery. Lyrically, the song discusses the personal obstacles that BLAK ACE has overcome in order to get to where he is now, before discussing broader issues that affect people’s drive.

“Everyday expedition paid my tuition I didn’t pass math, but my art was pimpin’ Self-expression they say that we lack. I make them take those words back .When I spit these raps”

Another thing that the lyrics convey is passion, evoking the braggadocio and positivity found in songs like Nas’ “I Can” and “The World Is Yours”. The song takes the passion of hip-hop and uses it as a vehicle to inspire others to pursue their own dreams.

By moving from BLAK ACE’s personal experiences to wider ones, the song aims to connect with a universal audience. The vibe and energy of this record ebbs and flows, magnetically drawing in the audience for more.

Of the song’s production, BLAK ACE states, “DJ KEMO is a top tier producer, his engineering and musical knowledge of beat mixing makes the music sound flawless. The sound quality from DJ KEMO’s production makes me sound commercial and radio ready. I’m excited to make more music and look forward to the reception of BLAK MAJIK worldwide.”

BLAK ACE got his start with his debut video “My Passion”, which features him showcasing his music to his Vancouver hometown. He then went on to open for well-known hip-hop artists such as E-40, Jadakiss and Fabolous. In 2017, BLAK ACE would embark on his own concert tour “Angelz and Demonz” and perform throughout the British Columbia and Alberta before ending the tour in his hometown.

In addition to pursuing music, he would also develop his own clothing line called BLAK G3AR. BLAK G3AR received immense support from fans and musicians through his lucrative “Body Positive” merchandise campaign and rap artist driven competition “The Transducer.” BLAK ACE most recent music work is the 2019 EP “BLAK SOULZ”.
