Apple Unveils AI-Focused iPhone 16 Lineup and More
On Monday, September 9, 2024, Apple introduced its latest lineup of products, highlighting a new AI-driven iPhone 16 series, a redesigned Apple Watch, and updated AirPods.
The tech giant, during the unveiling event also announced that AI features will be rolling out to their devices next month.
iPhone 16 Lineup
The iPhone 16 series was the main attraction, featuring two sizes—6.1 inches and 6.7 inches (Plus model). Starting at $799, these phones are powered by the new A18 chip, equipped with a 16-core neural engine designed for AI and Apple Intelligence functions. One standout feature is the customizable action button, allowing users to quickly record voice memos, identify songs, or translate languages.
Apple also launched the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, featuring the faster A18 Pro chip. These models come with AI-powered tools like tips for enhancing photoshoots, better video capture quality, and a new audio mixing feature for videos. The iPhone 16 Pro will start at $999, while the Pro Max begins at $1,199. Pre-orders open Friday, with availability in stores from September 20.
Apple Watch Series 10
Priced at $399, the new Apple Watch Series 10 is Apple’s thinnest and fastest-charging watch. Powered by the S10 chip, it offers enhanced machine learning features such as double tapping, crash detection, and sleep apnea monitoring.
AirPods 4
Apple’s AirPods 4 start at $129, boasting improved audio quality, personalized spatial audio, and Siri interaction through nodding or shaking your head. The charging case now features USB-C connectivity.
