This year MOBO invited supporters and fans into the fold to become a part of the MOBO music panel and they helped to decide the nominees for each category. Ghana’s Atumpan and Fuse ODG will be competing with some of the best of Africa for the Best African Act nod, including Bombino, Ice Prince, Liquideep, Mafikizolo, Seun Kuti, Spoek Mathambo, Tiwa Savage, and WizKid.
