BabyFest! is coming to Ghana for the first time and will be held in February 2011. It is being organized by Ticklz N’ Gigglz Events and Consulting company which specializes in kid related events and parenting. BabyFest! will be an annual event targeted towards Prospective mothers, New mothers and New parents.  This event further aims to help achieve the Millennium Development Goals i.e. Reduce child mortality, Improve maternal health and Promote gender equality and empower women.

This fair will combine education, recreation and wellness to showcase and celebrate the beauty of motherhood, baby related issues and the art of parenting. Babies are being born every second but whether planned or unplanned, it is important that every baby is treated with the utmost care. Paying careful attention to babies and their development is a long-term investment every parent needs to make. This fair will offer parenting advice and shopping all under one roof, enabling attendees to discover services, information and products available as they walk through exhibition stands covering everything from Pregnancy, Birth, Babies to Toddlers. Information on adoption an In Vitro fertilization will be provided for childless parents to also share in the joy of parenting.

For the BabySummit participants can expect a fantastic timetable of workshops, including Baby & Toddler first aid sessions, expert advice on baby sleep routines, developmental toys and many more. Hospitals, Banks, daycare centers, nutrition experts, pediatricians, pre-schools, specialists, midwives and many more will all have the opportunity to showcase their services. There will also be a play area, free face painting, crafts, and many more to keep the children happy as well. There will be the chance for parents and kids to enter free competitions. The first 10 families will get a free goodie bag each day. This Fair will offer exciting activities including the pregnant mother, baby and parents photo contest.  Pregnant mothers who will take part in the photo contests will have an opportunity to have their “bumps” painted and transformed into a beautiful work of art by skilled artists.  The NewBump Club and BabyClub together with many other parent clubs will be launched.

This fair is scheduled to take place on 4th to 6th of February 2011 at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park. This presents an opportunity for companies to promote their business, product or organization to parents & networks.
