BBNaija star Khafi opens up on being a victim of rape, gives reason why she never reported the rapist

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Khafi Kareem has opened up on being a rape victim.

Her revelation comes after many Nigerians took to social media to demand justice for Uwadia Omozuwa a 22-year old student who died after being raped in a church in Nigeria.

The 31 year old took to twitter to share her ordeal in the hands of a rapist.

According to her, the person that raped her is someone she usually confides in. The former police officer who is engaged to another ex housemate, Gedoni added that she kept it a secret because the rapist begged her not to tell anyone.

The Nigerian- British added that although she feels dirty and ashamed to talk to anyone about the experience, she has finally gained the courage to speak out.

In her words:

WhyIDidntReport – because he apologised right after. Because I made myself believe him being drunk was an excuse. Because the one person I did tell said I caused it. Because I felt dirty and ashamed. #WeAreTired” she tweeted.
