Black N Peach was voted winners of the Vodafone Icons: Mixed Edition after three rounds of competition at the grand finale over the weekend. After two rounds of performances, the race for the ultimate prize was cut down to a straight fight between Black N Peach and Vybes when Waves was eliminated from the competition.
Black N Peach and Vybes then went face to face with their final performances, where they both performed their favorite song from the season. Vybes performed ‘Cool It Now’ while Black N Peach performed Tina Turner’s ‘Simply the Best’, perhaps to hint that they deserved to win the most. Black N Peach broke into a state of ecstasy when host, Benny Blanco announced them as the winners.
They won a total of GHC 60,000, a Kia Rio, a one year management deal and an opportunity to perform at the Vodafone 020 Live.
