Black Sherif is the only competition for Camidoh to win ‘‘Artiste of the year’- George Britton.
Renowned Ghanaian music manager and digital marketer, George Mensah Britton has disclosed that Black Sherif is Camidoh’s sole rival for winning the ultimate “Artiste of the Year” award at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
According to Mr. Britton in an interview on Class 91.3 FM’s “The Big Show,” he and his team are expecting nothing but a win on the night.
“We’re expecting nothing but success on the night of the VGMAs. For him to be nominated in that ‘‘Artiste of the Year’’ category means it’s a possible win,” he said.
Mr. Britton added that even if the ‘Sugarcane’ hitmaker does not win, he sees the nomination as “a big leap.”
He emphasized Camidoh has worked diligently to the top in just two years, adding that Black Sherif is Camidoh’s only competitor.
“If I’ll actually be honest, he remarked, I think the only competition for Camidoh will probably be Black Sherif for Artiste of the Year at the 2023 VGMAs.
Camidoh is going up against Black Sherif, Sarkodie, Piesie Esther, Joe Mettle, Stonebwoy, King Promise and KiDi, for ‘Artiste of the year’ category.
The 2023 edition of the VGMAs is set to come off on Saturday, May 6.
