There will be an exclusive screening of the first ever pidgin musical, ‘Coz ov Moni’ at London’s Ritzy Cinema, Brixton on Thursday 22nd July at 6:15 pm and again at 7:30 pm, withbefore being shown at various Film Festivals this coming year.

Immediately following both screenings, there will be a ‘Kente carpet’ opening ceremony at 6:00pm. There will be a Q&A with the cast and directors. With an after-party and live performance and DJing by the FOKN Bois, DJ EDU of BBC 1xtra and DJ Eric Soul of Wahala TV and AfroGroov .

Coz Ov Moni stars FOKN Bois (Wanlov the Kubolor, a truly refreshing artist who travels the world barefoot wearing his trademark wrap skirt, and the Channel O multi-nominated M3NSA, a singer/songwriter/producer, who is one of the most respected Hiplife pioneers today).

“Coz Ov Moni” simply translated as ‘all because of money’ and is the story of an extraordinary day in the life of two ordinary young men in a 21st century Ghana. Expressed entirely in music and rhyme, the film captures the exuberance, energy and rhythm of the urban African, using choreography and color to enrich the story in great detail. This film takes an innovative approach, combining the lyrical art of the wordsmith with art house cinematography, giving it an unprecedented
dynamic intensity as the audience is spun into a web of comedy, dramatic
action and dance.

On a normal morning in Gbese, Accra, The FOKN Bois wake up and plan to go clubbing with some lady friends after chasing an evasive debtor for their money. Little do they know that their free-spirited and seemingly conceited attitude will
make them a few enemies as the day progresses? How will this day end for the
FOKN Bois? Do they deserve what awaits them at the end of it all?
