According to King Promise in a recent interview on 3FM, having someone mimic him means he’s inspiring a generation.

“Listen, I’ve seen it on the internet. First of all, to do what I do and have people see me as their mentor or I inspire them and they want to be like me, it’s a blessing that I get to inspire generations which is like my generation as well. Bro ano vex nobody,” he said in pidgin.

He continued; “I see a lot of people bashing them and I’m like bro I’m really just chill, and making my music, you know who the original is ain’t it? It’s like people are having their own fun doing their own thing.”

King Promise however, added that if  it ever gets to the point where his lookalike causes any harm to his image, he will take action, until them, he’s going to allow him to have his fun.

“If it ever gets there, what’s meant to be done will be done but I don’t think it will get there. They’re just showing love but doing it in a different way. There are times you see people and it’s very aggressive and they even might break your windscreen. These ones they just want to be like you,” he added.
