Cecilia Eben Bleeker, a humanitarian committed to ending teenage pregnancy in Africa

Cecilia Eben Bleeker, Founder and President of the Bleeker Foundation International, is known for being career-driven, intellectual and humanitarian.  Respect for self and others, and integrity are some of her other known traits. 

Professionally, Cecilia Bleeker, who holds a Master’s of Science degree in Telemedicine and digital health records management and a Master’s in Evidence based practice in Clinical Reesearch .

She works as a Manager for a major international Clinical research organization and Pharmaceutical firm, where she covers the European Union countries within her therapeutic area.

The Cameroonian born Dutch citizen has over 15 years of working experience within the Dutch health care system. She is an embodiment of the strength and leadership that is needed to encourage every African in the Diaspora.

One thing that stands out for Ms Bleeker is her philanthropy. In spite of all the challenges she faced as a teenage mother in Cameroon, Cecilia has risen through it all to lead a cause to prevent or completely eradicate teenage pregnancy especially in Africa, through the Bleeker Foundation.

Cecilia works together with local institutions and key persons in Africa, to support teen moms in their path towards a self-sustained life. Her foundation is also providing sexual reproductive health education to Junior High Schools in Africa. 1,000 copies of the book, ‘Teen Manual’ (written By Cecilia Bleeker and Dr. Luchuo Engelbert Bain) were donated to the youth of the James town Community in Ghana in Feb 2019. Bleeker Foundation offered several scholarships to teen moms in Techiman later in 2019.
