Chemphe to support the people of Nankasedo and Hasuodi via Double P Project
Ghanaian R&B singer, Chemphe recently visited Nankasedo and Hasuodi, both villages close to Saltpond in the Central Region of Ghana for the third session of his Double P (campaign for Peace and Against Poverty). The singer was very instrumental in educating the village people on hunger management mechanism and resource management to help curb poverty in the villages. Observing the lack of basic utilities like water and light made Chemphe emotional and the singer pledged to help the villages to acquire some basic utilities in the shortest possible because he believed that will contribute to growing business in the communities. Chemphe called on corporate bodies and the media to support his record label, E-Jam Records to help achieve the idelas of the Double P Project. “There is a lot to be done. The campaign is a global one and will achieve a collective goal when other celebrities and corporate bodies embark on similar projects” commented Chemphe, who broke into tears on seeing the living conditions in the villages. According to the singer, apart from providing the villagers with basic amenities, he intends to support them to build a KVIP toilet. Chemphe mentioned that though the “Global Citizen” song is getting good airplay in Norway where it was released last year, Ghana is about to experience the real outcome from the lyrics of the song. He mentioned that the project song’s video will be launched this year though the radio stations are permitted to start giving it a very good airplay to promote the project. Korsah-Brown (CEO, E-Jam Records), Mr Ebo Taylor (Ace Ghanaian Musicians), Sam Genesis (E-Jam and Waz up GH), Robert Abban (E-Jam Records) and other key people made up the research and sensitization team for the village mentioned above. ]]>
