Citi TV’s Entertainment Achievement Awards open for entry untill January 20

The Entertainment Achievement Awards

The awards platform was recently launched in Kumasi last week and will recognise outstanding creatives across music, sports, comedy, online media and film sectors.

“The Entertainment Achievement Awards and the way we intend to execute it will initiate a hard-hitting conversation about the Ghanaian creative industry and the potential it wields. It will lead the way in sanitising and transforming Ghana’s entertainment scene in a bid to create artistic products that can firmly compete on any global stage,” Citi TV programmes manager Jessica Opare-Saforo said.

Opare-Saforo said that the station has assembled an academy responsible for collating the nominees following extensive research into the work and impact of Ghana’s entertainers. They include broadcaster Kofi Okyere Darko, multi-instrumentalist and producer Kwame Yeboah, celebrity blogger Ameyaw Debrah, Adinkra Experience CEO Kofi Adinkra and artist and writer Dr Bernard Akoi-Jackson. Additionally, the academy will “work towards a selection of winners in accordance with the criteria of the awards.”

Interested voters can nominate their preferred individuals on http://entertainmentachievementawards.com/nominate/. Deadline for nominations is 20 January 2021.
