Congratulations JM for your composure toward peace after the elections – Samini

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Samini in a video he posted on his Instagram page, has congratulated Ghanaians and the presidential candidates for the two major political parties ( NPP & NDC) for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner in the course of this year’s elections.
Samini is proud to have seen Ghanaians put Ghana first above partisan interests, and helping to ensure a peaceful elections.
Ghanaians went to the polls this year to decide who was going to be their president for the next 4 years. In the just ended elections, which we witnessed some few violent incidents between political parties, many thought it could have been something that may have escalated into an uncontrollable chaotic situation.
Regardless few misunderstandings here and there, tensions were calmed after the Electoral commission of Ghana came out to declare Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the NPP who with a percentage of 51.3%, emerged victorious over Mr. John Dramani Mahama of the NDC, who obtained 47.3%.
Before and after the declaration, the NDC raised concerns of discrepancies about the results, which to them is unacceptable, leading to them (NDC) rejecting the final declaration of the Electoral commission.
