Court orders Ghana Police to send Funny Face to Accra Psychiatric Hospital

An Accra court has committed comedian Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng to the psychiatric hospital for two weeks.
The Ofaakor Circuit Court presided by Ebenezer Osei Darko has ordered Ghana Police to send Funny Face to Accra Psychiatric Hospital explaining that he does not sound normal.
The judge said Funny Face may be having a mental crisis and possibly going through depression.
Last Monday, the comedic act was arrested by the police in Kasoa for unlawfully discharging a firearm at a drinking pub.
The Central Regional Police PRO, DSP Irene Serwaa Oppong said someone had reported Funny Face for causing a disturbance in a bar.

After his arrest, Funny Face took to social media to accuse the Police of maltreatment and started a #Justice4FunnyFace campaign on social media.
However, the actor, disclosed in a post this morning where he shared a video of his hands handcuffed whilst in a vehicle with a police officer.
“GYE NYAME, jailed again yesterday afternoon … till dis morning … been taking to Ofankor circuit court,” the actor captioned the video and added that ” GOD is in control” whilst informing “funny fans’ to “spread dis video … justice for funny face“. he wrote.
This will be the second time the Chorkor Trotro’ actor will be seeing a Psychiatrist. Last week he revealed his “madness certificate” that show he was on treatment from 10th December to 14th December.
