Dr Cryme and Manger James KorsahThe maiden edition of the High School Honours, a broad spectrum award scheme designed to recognize young talents that have graduated from Senior High Schools across Ghana, saw buzzing rapper, D-Cryme winning a special award for being the Most Influential Personality of the year. D-Cryme and his E-Jams Record management were at the National Theatre to pick up the award, presented by rapper/producer Jayso.  The rapper also performed for his screaming young fans. 

There were also performances by dancers and musicians from the various schools as well as established and upcoming acts like Jayso, Lil Shaker, Rumour, AJ Nelson, Ball J, Kesse, D-Two, Kwame Zaggy, R&M and others. Comedian, DKB was also there to crack some ribs, with his take on life as a student in Senior High School.

The awards recognized individuals, groups and schools for their outstanding achievements in music, dance, sports, good behaviour,  fashion, entertainment and more. Here is the full list of award winners:

Best Male Dancer – Ishmael Thompson (Benzee) – Accra Academy
Best Female Dancer – Yvette Akakpo – Krobo Girl’s
Best Male Vocalist – Chris Brown – Presec Legon
Best Female Vocalist – Pamela Martinson – Okuapeman
Best Male Entertainment Prefect – Carl Sackey – Accra Academy
Best Female Entertainment Prefect – Setor Norgbe – Ola Girl’s
Most Popular (Male) – Jesse Yalley – Mfanstipim
Most Popular (Female) – Fati Banda – Krobo Girl’s
Best Music Group – 2xg’s – Mfanstipim School
Best Dance Group -Boggie Links – Accra Academy
Most Fashionable (Male) – Richmond Amoako Gyasi – Okuapeman
Most Fashionable (Female) – Nicole Wollams – Achimota School
Best Male Rapper – Richard Asante (Strict) – Adisadel College
