D’banj Surprises Fans at Tyme Out with Tee A Live Concert

Dbanj dancing Fans who thronged the MUSON Center on December 1 were in for a massive surprise as multi award winning artiste and entrepreneur D’Banj stunned the audience with an exciting medley of his super hits over the years at the Tyme Out with TEE A Special Live Edition Concert. The prolific entertainer also opened up to his fans like never before in an exciting no -holds –barred interview hosted by TEE A. From hilarious comedy skits with TEE A, Princess and MC Abbey to musical performances from Shina Peters, Dammy Krane, Sammie Okposo, Daddy Showkey, Capital Femi, Tunde Ednut and Lynxx , fans couldn’t get enough of the artistes on stage with repeated calls being made for an encore. “’Why did we decide to debut with the Tyme Out with Tee A Live Concert?’” “The reason is simple really, Tunde Adewale, popularly known as TEE-A, organizer of the concert explained “ We simply want to connect more with our fans in a warm, relaxed but exciting atmosphere. It was a fantastic reception from our fans, which shows us that our people are truly appreciative of our efforts, and thoroughly enjoyed themselves too. “Despite the challenges, we faced in seeing this through, we’re happy that we were able to stage such a successful event. Tyme Out with Tee A Live Edition Concert debuted on December 1st 2012. The concert, an offshoot of its TV format; is an eclectic fusion of music and comedy, which witnessed a mammoth crowd as excited fans thronged the venue to catch a glimpse of their favorite acts. Highlight of the event was the raffle draw co ordinated by Ali Baba and notable comedian, Okey Bakassi. Winners of the raffle draw were Courage Uchechi, and Atanda Jamiu who both won a carton of Loya milk each. Also Ajadi Abosede Oyindamola won a Nokia phone while Oluchi Uwajubogu won the grand prize of a return air ticket to Dubai donated by Qatar Airways. Guests who stormed the event included Tosin Martins, Vina from Big Brother Africa, Chris Ihidero, Lepacious Bose, Toolz, Teju Babyface and wife and Caroline Adeneye . Others are Osagie Ogunbor, Segun Demuren, Ayo Animashaun, Abisoye Fagade, Steve Ayorinde, Layinka Oyedeji, Yaw, and Deji Awokoya. Other Nigerian comedians who came to support TEE A at the event were Ali Baba, Okey Bakassi, Bovi, Seyi Law, Jedi, Senator amongst others. Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, the second edition saw increased interest and participation, with experts and professionals gathering to discuss and tackle the evolving cyber risks faced by organizations in today’s dynamic digital landscape.

With cybercrime on the rise, including identity theft and phishing, Mastercard prioritizes fraud prevention and cybersecurity worldwide, including in Ghana. This commitment becomes even more critical given that Ghana recorded GH¢49.5 million in direct financial losses through cyber fraud activities between January and June of 2023, highlighting the need for concerted efforts to safeguard the financial services industry and government from attacks. In response to these challenges, Mastercard is not only investing in innovation and collaborations, but also providing an avenue for stakeholders to discuss best practices to ensure cyber resilience in the country.

The forum delved into the most recent tactics employed by cybercriminals, their targeted assets, and the underlying motivations behind their attacks. With a particular emphasis on the financial services sector, the forum provided an extensive examination of the local cyber threat environment, recent instances of fraud, and effective strategies to mitigate vulnerabilities that could affect business profitability. Additionally, Mastercard showcased its state-of-the-art fraud detection solutions, including the Decision Intelligence system, which leverages advanced technologies to swiftly identify and thwart fraudulent activities in real-time, safeguarding customers’ accounts and transactions.
Stakeholders at the event expressed a shared commitment to fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and proactive measures to mitigate cyber risks within Ghana’s financial ecosystem. The consensus reached underscored the importance of ongoing dialogue, collective action, and continued investment in robust cybersecurity infrastructure to safeguard against emerging threats.
