DentaaUK-based Ghanaian TV personality and CEO of GUBA Awards, Dentaa has been named on the 2011 Black List Awards, created by journalist Leon Mann and Rodney Hinds of the Voice Newspaper. The awards recognises the contribution of the black community for achievements across all levels of football and is supported by the Football Association, Professional Footballers’ Association, Kick It Out and the Black Collective of Media in Sport (BCOMS), and Horizon with The Voice Newspaper as a media partner..

This year’s awards presentation will be held at the offices of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games & Paralympic Games Limited (LOCOG) in Canary Wharf on October 26. Dentaa’s talents know no end, from presenting The Dentaa show, to founding and running the GUBA Awards which takes place 6th November at Park Plaza Embankment. It is particularly her management of Asamoah Gyan and influence in the signing of Emmanuel Frimpong to the Ghana National team that were key factors in her nomination for the Black List.

The list also recognises the works of match agent Justin Addo who is responsible for the up and coming Ghana vs Nigeria Game on the October 11 at Watford Stadium.  2011 Black List Awards includes the following nominees also: Rio Ferdinand, Jason Bernard,Darren Lewis, Stan Collymore, Karyn Bascombe, Jason Roberts, Chris Kamara, Andy Ansah,
Keme Nzerem, Ore Oduba, Garth Crooks, Aslie Pitter, Shaun Campbell, Gary Bennett, Dr Colin King, Otis Roberts, Nathan Ellington, Eddie Adekafe, Clasford Stirling, Lincoln Moses, Ian Taylor, and Francis Nkwain.

The rest are: Mitchell Thomas, Tony Finnigan, Pete Smith, Chris Nathaniel, Justin Addo,  Adie Ward, Brendon Batson, Bobby Barnes, Clarke Carlisle, Simone Pound, Lord Ouseley, Paul Elliott, Marc Elliot, Earl Barrett, Ray James, Hope Powell, Chris Ramsey, Michael Emenalo, Chris Powell, Alex Dyer, Noel Blake, Terry Connor, Chris Hughton, Ose Aibangee, Les Ferdinand, Keith Curle, and Matt Alexander.
