Quality Insurance Company Limited (QIC) has unveiled the brand ambassador for their “Go Girl” policy.

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Vanessa expressed her excitement at the opportunity and entreated women to hop unto the policy.

“I’d like to say thank you to QIC for picking me as their new “Go Girl” ambassador Icon. Definitely going to expect a lot for our professional women and all women in Ghana in terms of giving them that insurance policy that is catered solely for them. It is tailor-made for professional women and all women in Ghana. It’s not just about professional women but all women in Ghana who own a car should hop on the QIC policy to enjoy a lot of benefits,” she stated.

According to Cecil Ribero, the Chief Operations Officer at QIC,  “Go Girl” was born out of the need to encourage women to buy their motor insurance from QIC.

“This thing started two years ago in 2019. Our data shows we have less claims from women. The motto insurance product is a tariff product and that means every insurance company charges the same premium. So, competition is based on the additional benefits you can offer and if women are safer drivers, why don’t you come up with a product that will make them want to come to QIC, and that’s where “Go Girl” came up,” he explained.

Mr Ribero believes that bringing Dr. Vanessa on board will not only make the campaign about selling motor insurance to women, but also being able to address some health concerns affecting women.

“We want to make this a movement and not just QIC selling a product for women. It’s all about creating a platform for women, where its not only about their insurance, but we’ve brought a doctor on board to be able to discuss things that bother women health wise,” he added.

“Go Girl” was born out of QIC’s flagship policy, Kingly Queenly Motor Comprehensive Policy, where the courtesy car is a paid benefit.

“Go Girl” is a comprehensive motor insurance policy specifically designed for women and has won the CIIG Insurance Product of the year in 2019 and Product Innovation Award in 2020 by the Ghana Insurance Awards.
