Dutylex Ghana opens new facility in Tema; announces its partnership with Petro-Canada lubricants as exclusive distributors for west Africa, East Africa and central Africa

Dutylex Ghana, the premier bulk engine oil distributor in Ghana has inaugurated a state-of-the-art facility in Tema, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion strategy.

The new facility is designed to enhance operational efficiency and support the company’s ambitious growth plans in the city.

The opening ceremony was attended by key stakeholders, industry leaders, and local dignitaries including Hon. Sam George, Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, highlighting Dutylex’s commitment to contributing to the local economy and creating job opportunities.

In conjunction with this inauguration, Dutylex Ghana proudly announced its strategic partnership with Petro-Canada Lubricants, a Canadian retail and wholesale marketing brand subsidiary of Suncor Energy.  As the exclusive distributor for West, East, and Central Africa, Dutylex will now offer Petro-Canada’s extensive range of high-performance lubricants, including engine oils, greases, gear oils, and hydraulic oils.

This collaboration aims to address the increasing demand for premium lubricants across various industries such as automotive, industrial, and marine.

Speaking to the media during the opening ceremony on Thursday, June 13, 2024, the National Sales and Operations Manager for Dutylex Ghana, Ebenezer Laryea asserted that the new partnership with Petro-Canada Lubricants is a testament to Dutylex’s dedication to providing top-quality products and services to its customers. He also noted that new facility in Tema will serve as a central hub for distribution, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of Petro-Canada’s lubricants across the designated regions.

”We set up our first oil terminal in Tarkwa which was supposed to actually serve the mining enclave of the country. Our representation with Petrol Canada is with Ghana West Africa central Africa and parts of southern Africa as well. It will interest you to know that very soon we will have the full accreditation to represent Petro Canada in the whole of Africa, that is how fast we are growing as a company.

”So we set up our first oil terminal in Tarkwa that is supposed to serve the mining enclave and then today we are here this is the second oil terminal facility that we have set up it’s more to serve the manufacturing industry construction and all that you know it’s an industrial Hub TEMA is an industrial Hub and a lot of manufacturing is going on and so we are bringing to the doorsteps of the people of Tarkwa and outside Tema as well quality topnotch lubricants,” he said.

Mr. Sam Acquaye, the sales manager at Petro Canada, also mentioned that collaborating with Dutylex Ghana would assist individuals in making informed decisions regarding lubricants, while also facilitating the expansion of both companies in Africa.
