E-Prepaid, a simple and convenient new way to buy electricity credit for your smart meter
Origgin Limited, a leading Ghanaian technology company on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, changed the scope of traditional purchasing of electricity credit for smart meters through E- prepaid. E-prepaid is a mobile app that allows users of electricity smart meters within Accra to purchase electricity credit for their smart meters directly from their smart phones.
With E-Prepaid, Origgin seeks to solve the problem of customers joining long queues before purchasing electricity credit or having to sleep in darkness when their electricity credits run out at odd hours. This has been a problem for most customers since the introduction of prepaid credit. As this problem has grown bigger over the years, Origgin resolved to use technology to solve this problem, hence the development of E-Prepaid.
E-Prepaid currently works for only meters within the environs of Legon, Osu, Ridge, Dodowa, Accra Newtown, Madina and Airport Residential Area. E-Prepaid does not work for meters using card and postpaid meters. E-Prepaid is currently available for Android smartphones only with an iOS version soon to be released.
To use the E-prepaid app, users simply download E-PREPAID from the Google Play Store, sign up, enter their 8 or 9-digit meter number, their amount of purchase and the name registered to the smart meter and pay through MTN mobile money. Instantly, customers will have their meters topped up anytime of the day.
Our mission at Origgin is to advance the course of humanity through technology.
Origgin was co-founded by Kane Mani, Ghana’s biggest technology entrepreneur who is committed to building Origgin into a $100 billion technology company listed on the New York Stock Exchange.]]>
