Cover Art for Down For Whatever by mymusicstate.comFans of stylish vocalist, Efine, who caught the attention of renowned Nigerian producer Don Jazzy sometime in 2011, have been disappointed with the delay in the release of the singer’s latest single, ‘Down For Whatever’ featuring award winning radio personality Joel Orleans.  The single was set for release on March 14, but was withheld by Bysson Recordings. According to Efiine, ‘Down For Whatever’ caught the attention of the CEO of Bysson Company, leading to the proposal of a management deal initiated by Bysson Company. However the initial agreement hit the rocks when some of the terms could not be met. Efine, who just returned from a tour in South Africa amidst collaborations with Ice Prince, J Town, R2bees, Kas, Sarkodie and others requested for a car and a plush apartment aside the signing fee, which is contrary to the usual initial provisions of most Ghanaian ‘labels’. Also, the initial agreements between Bysson Company and Efine was to record all songs for free under the label, but the company is now withholding the song from commercial release.  Efine who reportedly had a similar fall out with Don Jazzy, believes he isn’t a difficult artist to deal with but maintains he is only looking for the best deal.
