Elikem Kumordzie apologises to Sarkodie after backlash from criticising the rapper’s outfit

Ghanaian Fashion Designer, Elikem Kumordzie “The Tailor” has apologised to Sarkodie after making a distasteful comment about the rapper’s outfit quite recently.

In a phone in conversation on the United Showbiz show on UTV, Elikem stated that he meant no harm, and that the fault he noticed on Sarkodie’s outfit was a very common one designers make.

“First of all, I like his music. I have no ill intention of trying to pull him down. That was probably whatever ethics there is. So, I apologize if it meant I was trying to pull him down. In the spur of the moment, I am a fashion designer and we’ve made this mistake for ages,” he said on phone.

Sarkodie recently shared stills from the video shoot for his hit song “Country Side” featuring Black Sherif.

In the photo, Sarkodie is seen in a tailored nude ensemble, paired with sneakers.

Upon seeing the photo, and noticing something wrong with the tailoring of Sarkodie’s outfit, Elikem reposted the photo on his main Instagram page, while calling out Sarkodie’s tailor for doing an abysmal job with the tailoring.

“Still got love for your talent bro, but your tailor no try. Let me. hook you up with something fresh next time. Other African tailors will disappoint you, except Elikem Kumordzie the tailor” Elikem captioned.

Elikem’s post however, did not please a lot of his followers who felt that was not the right manner to go about the situation.

He has since been called out and asked to handle such matters privately next time.
