Legendary DR Congo and TP Mazembe goalkeeper, Robert Kidiaba, has won the Lubumbashi parliamentary seat in DR Congo.
There have been high tension in DRC due to the delay of the declaration of results of the hotly contested elections held in December.
known for his unique bum shuffle goal celebration which involves bouncing around his penalty area on his backside, Kidiaba, ventured into competitive politics in the year 2015.
The award winning shot-stopper made his debut for his national team in 2002, and has since made an appearance in 11 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches for the central African nation.
Apart from his work as a goalkeeper, he also worked as an ambassador for the Peace One Day charity.

Robert Kidiaba now joins a host of other top African footballers including Liberia’s George Weah, who have ventured into competitive politics in their respective countries.
