DSC 0011The Osu Children’s Home earlier in the week witnessed a grand celebration of fashion with one of Ghana’s leading modeling agency, Exotic Model Agency as part of the agency’s annual Christmas party for the children at the facility.

The fun packed event started with a humid atmosphere which was perfect for the mid afternoon program. Several models from the agency and other dignitaries were present to get the event running and also contribute to its success.  A Nigerian comedian was on hand to kick start the event after a brief prayer. Though unpopular in Ghana, he made a name for himself with his witty jokes and antics on the microphone. He got everyone laughing and on several occasions picked on the former Ghana’s Most Beautiful contestants who were present.

Singer Nii of both Project Fame West Africa and TV3 Mentor fame took to the stage for some delightful performances. In a special performance for the children, the soulful singer was full of emotions getting a couple of the children to come around him. Most of the children joined Nii to sing the international mega-hit, ‘Heal the World’ by the legendary Michael Jackson.

This was followed by the ‘Walk Tall Fashion Show’ with the kids. The trained children made the fashion show segment a spectacle to watch as they exhibited tremendous talent and amazing walking skills with ease in clothes designed by Empress Creation, Allan Davids and Oheema Kids Collection. The models of Exotic Model Agency also graced the runway with their engaging outfits that hanged around their adorable frames.

Soon it was time to cut the cake and make a presentation of assorted items to the administrators of the orphanage. There was total funfair right afterwards, with the dance floor getting flooded and sweaty. There was plenty to eat and drink as the party continued into the night.

Bennet Adjei, CEO of Exotic Model Agency was full of joy and pledged his commitment to assist the home at all times.  He said that, the celebration is an annual event which his outfit started 2009. “I was motivated by the talents I see anytime I visited the home. These are real icons in the making and it is in the right direction to put smiles on their faces aside training them for the future. It forms part of our social responsibility and giving back to society”
