Fella Makafui Debunks Romance Rumors with D-Black
Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur, Fella Makafui has refuted any romantic involvement with rapper, Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, otherwise known as Dblack, dismissing swirling rumors linking them together.
The speculation gained traction following the announcement of Fella Makafui’s separation from Medikal, her husband of four years. Fuel was added to the fire when a video surfaced on social media depicting D-Black and Fella Makafui smoking in a club, leading some blogs to insinuate a connection between the video and the couple’s split.
Expressing his displeasure, the ‘Omoada’ hitmaker publicly aired his sentiments, denouncing D-Black as a phony industry figure. He vehemently asserted his respect for D-Black and insisted that he would never betray him in such a manner.
However, addressing the rumors during an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, Fella Makafui clarified that her relationship with D-Black was purely platonic, emphasizing their ‘familial bond’ . She urged people to refrain from spreading baseless rumors out of respect for D-Black and his family.
Asserting her resilience against negative narratives, the well-known actress stated, “I don’t allow negative stories to break me. They are not true so why would you allow something false that is being said about you to break you? How would a D Black story break me?”
“Let’s not disrespect D Black and his family. I don’t want to channel my energy into this whole thing. He is like my big brother. I went there with my friends to chill. There were thousands of people in the club,” she added.
The entrepreneur further explained that her visit to the club with friends from Nigeria was innocent, and D-Black merely extended hospitality by providing free drinks. Fella Makafui expressed regret that the situation escalated unfavorably.
Regarding Medikal’s reaction, Fella Makafui opted not to engage, preferring to focus on her business ventures for inner peace. She declined to delve into further controversy, underscoring her commitment to maintaining positivity amidst adversity.
