Femi Amusan to host Mr Ideal Nigeria

This summer, Lagos will sizzle when it plays home to 30 smart, sexy and adorable young men in Nigeria’s search for its perfect man in the second edition of ‘Ideal Nigeria’. The June 24 pageant is expected to transform Lagos into a hive of creativity, and bring the eyes of the nation to its beautiful city. The ceremony will be hosted by the trendy G-xploit member and model, Femi Amusan.

According to the organizers of the competition, Twitch & Stiles Events, the primary purpose of the pageant is to encourage the Nigerian youth to come up with their own business ideas without depending on organizations or the government to provide them with one. Unlike other male pageants, the winner of the Mr Ideal receives funding to start their own business and also create a campaign that is geared towards encouraging other young people to start their own businesses.  The winner of the maiden edition, Olawale Bello took up the challenge and has successfully started a business of his own called TWITCH Active, a premium fitness outfit which takes fitness to clients in the comfort of their homes.

The event is being organized in partnership with Berries magazine, and it would be a platform to launch ONE9ja, a club of young entrepreneurs that come together to exchange business ideas and also inspire young Nigerians to start up their own businesses. Auditions were held in Owerri, Port Harcourt, Ondo, Lagos and Ibadan and 30 men were selected based not only not on looks or physique but also on their achievements. This year the pageant is looking for an individual with the ability to communicate and inspire. The contestants will compete in physical fitness, talent hunt, evening wear and the all important final question.

Performances at the grand finals will include Olamyde, Bebe Sumthin , Adol , Izzy , LIC crew and also the winner of the first season of Rise to Fame, Blu Molly. The pageant brand ambassadors Dumas and Cream will also be there to drill the crowd. The ceremony will hold at  Cheers Hotel, 131 Awolowo way, Ikeja Lagos with afterparty  at Replay, 56 Opebi Road.
