Fireball SEM, a leading independent television and digital content production and distribution company creating content across all platforms of TV, Mobile, Online, Social Media, Print and Music in South Africa and throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, has announced a new partnership with Interglobe Entertainment Group (IEG), a leader in media and entertainment, upholding multiple subsidiaries specializing in Talent, Music, Film and Media to launch an exciting portfolio of Soccer TV Shows in Nigeria and across West Africa.
Fireball SEM and its South African based TV production company known for producing local versions of formats from Freemantle Media, Fox World, Disney, Endemol and Turner – including the Apprentice and Idols, teams up with Interglobe Entertainment Group headed by Bunmi Jinadu, who has worked with clients including Nike, Adidas, Coca Cola, MTN, Giorgio Armani, P-Diddy, Wyclef Jean, Akon, Samson Siasia, Sony Music Entertainment and Universal Music to produce a mega football match dubbed ‘1 Big Game’ and follow it up with the Nigerian/West African version of the hit soccer reality TV show, ‘Soccer’s Next Pro’.
‘1 Big Game’ could very well be the biggest soccer match of the year! It takes reality TV and combines it with the world’s biggest sport. The competition is tough as 30 football frenzied celebrities have to compete in a series of grueling tasks with the ultimate prize being a place in the starting 11 to play against the soccer legends of the past at a top packed Stadium.
Meanwhile, ‘Soccer’s Next Pro’ is a reality TV talent search show format that follows the process of finding 11 of a country’s top up and coming Football talent, from the thousands who turn out for the nationwide trials to the final first 11 offering them a dream trip to visit and train with a top English Premier League club and an opportunity to become professional Soccer players.
Speaking on the new partnership, says Shaun Ascough, co-Founder of Fireball SEM comments: “Interglobe Entertainment Group is the perfect partner to Fireball SEM to help launch our exciting Soccer TV shows in the Nigerian and West African markets.”
Utilising the mass appeal of football, Fireball SEM’s Soccer TV Shows have been designed to engage the African audience through entertaining “reality TV” style formats and through the partnership with IEG, they will also promote a number of beneficiary partners include the Ambassadors in Sport Hope Academy project; IEG’s Licensed To Heal project and Samson Siasia’s Siaone Soccer Academy all of which help to provide hope to many young lives from disadvantaged communities across Africa.
IEG founder Bunmi Jinadu comments: “Fireball SEM have the most compelling Soccer TV Shows for the African market and we are extremely excited to be launching this partnership.”
